Our Mission
Animal Friends Humane Society (AFHS) was established in 1952 and is Butler County’s largest, oldest non-profit animal shelter. Our mission is to promote humane principles, to protect lost, homeless, abandoned and mistreated animals, and to act as advocates for animals in our communities.

Who's ready to SPRING into a new season filled with lots of adoptions?! Animal Friends is so excited to be a part of BISSELL Pet Foundation's Spring National #EmptyTheShelters event!!
This event will run from Wednesday, May 1st through Wednesday, May 15th! During the event, approved adopters will be able to adopt all dogs & puppies for $25* and cats & kittens for $5! Help us #EmptyTheShelters and find a new furry family member!
*As required by law, those adopting a dog or puppy will still be required to purchase a dog license
