The five lions are in the custody of the closed Kuwait Zoo where they have been cared for until a home could be found. Will you help bring 10 month old Saif (male), Dhubiya (female), 18 month old Saham (male), Shujaa (male), and 4 year old Muheeb to the ADI Wildlife Sanctuary and give them the best possible life for many years to come? We are currently looking at options for flights and for travel crates but urgently need your help raising the funds towards caring for these animals for life. The spectacled bear was rescued in 2017 by ADI from a remote zoo in Peru. Taken from the wild as cubs, when her sister passed away Dominga was left all alone. She lost almost all of her fur due to stress. Five years ago ADI took Dominga home to a specially built habitat in the Peruvian forest at Taricaya Ecological Reserve. Her fur didn’t grow back but she has thrived and has two other bears, Cholita and Sabina, as neighbours. If Dominga looks completely relaxed and at home here, it’s because she is home. Show more

On Sunday, Jade, the smallest but most boisterous of the ADI Wildlife Sanctuary’s ‘Spice Girls’ gang (Jade, Luna, Sun and Moon) was lazing in the pool in the sunshine. Then she got out and broke into a run, chasing after each of her sisters, one after the other, finally breaking into a wild game with sister Luna. First rearing up, then nuzzling and then racing off together to cause more trouble!

As cubs, these tigers were passed around in a circus in Guatemala to be cuddled and photographed with the public. They wouldn’t want to try that now! Big cats want to play like big cats. They don’t want to be torn away from their families, poked and prodded by humans. That’s why ending private ownership and petting of big cats worldwide is so important.

THANK YOU to Rep Mike Quigley and Senator Richard Blumenthal for their leadership, to everyone who contacted their Congress members urging their support, and to those who helped to spread the word.
